I think both approaches are useful and I do use both in my diet in different situations. Try some of the low fat cheeses, meats and other products. For those you hate the taste, stick to the full of fat versions that you like, but just remember you need to be more conscious of the portion sizes on those. For things you find the lower fat still results in something you WANT to eat, then you can have bigger portions (still isn't a free for all though).
The most important thing about your diet is YOU. Any and all changes you make to your diet must be something you can honestly live with. Don't eat foods you hate. Don't cut out stuff you love. If you want your weight lose to be permanent, develop a diet plan you can live with and stick to.

Hi everyone, just interested in your thoughts, i have two sisters both of which are quite knowlageble where foods concerned. But they both have different opinions where fat is concerned, one believes you should eat full fat but small portions of it and the other thinks i should stick to low fat products, dont know what to do. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated. THANKS CAROLE
