Substitute condensed milk for heavy cream?

Condensed milk is sweetened so it wouldn't be that but I have successfully substituted skim or non-fat evaporated milk for cream in recipes to get a creaminess. Hope that helps!

I remember reading somewhere that you can substitute condensed milk for heavy cream to cut down on fat without loosing the cream-like consistency of sauces. I can't seem to find this information now to verify. Anyone out there ever try this? Does it work?
