Greenbeans are so low in calories. I can only eat so much leaf salad, but it's really good with balsamic vinegar on it. Fruits are probably my first choice - easy to grab and go.

I make a tomatoe based soup using V8 juice. Then I add a large bag of frozen mixed veggies. Sometimes I saute onions, cabbage, and peppers to add some great flavor. I always add hot sauce! I have added left over rice or what ever is in the fridge. It is easy, spicy, and satifying. I think the idea came from weight watchers Zero Point Soup

Mostly I use salads (fruit, slaw or spinach) or soups with homemade broth as fillers. Other good ideas for me are edamame, black beans, green veggies, cabbage & lettuce, cauliflower, tomatoes, all kinds of melon, all kinds of squash and then fruit.
We have a Central Market here where you can buy all kinds of heritage fruit & veggies, good for mixing it up a bit when the "normal" store fair gets boring.

Pumpkin, lentils, apples, zucchini, basically, anything with a lot of fiber (veggies & fruit are the easiest, most basic ones), but not too processed (like wheat bread), should do the trick.

Looking for ingredients which fill you up, or fill out a meal, without adding too many calories.
I am a big fan of frozen spinach for this purpose (in soups, omelets, crepes, etc). Great at filling me up without filling me out.
