I think I'd just toss it instead of possible wasting more ingredients to try to fix it. ....but I'd like to say I'm glad to see that you are teaching your eight year old to cook --- great time to create memories and give her an activity she can use and develop over a lifetime.

You could always increase the amount of the other ingredients so it all evens out but the question is, do you have enough and how many pancakes do you want to eat? Otherwise, I would really just throw the batter out and start over.

Please help! While I was making a healthy breakfast, my eight year old was making herself some chocolate chip pancakes. I was a little distracted so I couldn't really watch her. She seemed to be doing alright, then I noticed the baking powder container was empty.
As it turned out, she misread the recipe and used 1/2 CUP baking powder rather than 1/2 tablespoon. Now we have a good 3 cups of bitter tasting chocolate pancake batter that I don't know what to do with. I tried adding a little milk and sugar to overcome it, but it didn't really help.
Do you have any suggestions for how to save this batter? Or am I better off just wasting the ingredients and throwing the whole thing out?
