Sometimes it's easy to determine what the serving size is...for example, I made muffins. The recipe called for 12 servings - I made twelve muffins. If it's a casserole or similar item that calls for, say 8 servings, I will pre-cut it into 8 equal sized portions. But with salads and some other things, it is difficult to determine how much makes up a serving.

I don't like the fact that there are no serving sizes either. I just use 1 cup and hope I am right.

Hey why are all these recipes missing an important element??? Most information needed for calorie counting ect...is base on the serving size. There are no serving sizes. For example, 40 servings are in this recipe-I can I guess pour the whole recipe into a measure of some kind and divide....but (chuckle) please
