| I make a Peanut Butter cup smoothie--1/2 cup 2% milk, 1 Tablespoon peanut butter, 1 Tablespoon chocolate syrup, and 4-6 ice cubes. Blend in blender or smoothie maker. This makes about 8 ounces, at 208.3 calories.

i modify this just a bit, but it is pretty good! it was a spark people daily recipe.
Pumpkin protein Shake
Fat: 5.5 g Carbohydrates: 29.2g Calories: 263.7 Protein: 27.6g
Breakfast on the go - just like Mom's pumpkin pie!
6 ice cubes 1/3 cup canned pumpkin puree 1/3 cup 2% evaporated milk 1 cup vanilla-flavored soy milk 2 packets Splenda Cinnamon (to taste) Nutmeg (to taste) 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
Add all ice cubes, wet ingredients and dry ingredients to blender. Blend until shake consistency. Pour into large tumbler, add a straw and go!
Please note the evaporated milk is used simply for it's creamy consistency in shakes. For those lactose intolerant, remove evaporated milk and increase soy milk to 1-1/3 cup. A vanilla flavor protein powder is preferable for this recipe.

| Thanks the sherbet sounds good! SO far not being too adventurous, I also used to make my own almond milk and am thinking of doing that again instead of skimmed milk. MMM! I have not used peaches or some of the other ideas so definitely plan to do that, and appreciate all the great ideas. Our glut of blackberries will be over soon so ready for a CHANGE!!!

i tend to do a basic 1--4 ingredients.
1 cup soymilk or lactose-free 1 medium banana 1/2 to 3/4 cup of frozen berries or peaches 1/4 cup sherbet
throw 'em in a blender and enjoy. I use the sherbet in place of sugars sweeteners. it helps keep the smoothie colder and a little thicker, too (and if there're strawberries and you use lime sherbet, its got a nice little kick, too--though any sherbet will do).
i love sherbet.

I have a smoothie every day for snack. 1C skim milk 1C frozen fruit (strawberries, blues, mango. I don't usu mix) 1/2 frozen banana dash of sugar free vanilla (like a Toriani) blend and yummy. When you use blueberries, be sure to brush your teeth before you go public! The tiny pieces of skin are all over your teeth!! Enjoy, I know I do.

| Thats kind of similar tho I don't use too much milk, I did today tho it depends on the fruit! I have not experimented too much right now because we have an ABUNDANCE of blackberries and huckleberries on our property so have been enjoying those every day with a banana, little yogurt and some 2% milk, I use a little honey to sweeten it. Anyhow nothing like picking your own breakfast!!

| Mine are pretty simple. About 8 ounces of skim milk, a couple tablespoons of nonfat plain yogurt, some splenda, and about a cup of frozen fruit. I like to use peaches, strawberrys, blueberrys, and/or pineapple in whatever combinations I happen to feel like at the moment. Blend on high till it's a smoothy. I estimate it has just over two hundred calories, more or less.

Thanks! I have added it to my favorites too, sounds delicous. I need to get some more ingredients when I go to the store (its 40 miles away).
It looks lovely where you live, I am on the opposite side of the continent but similar geography. I love living by the ocean too.

| If you have trouble finding it, I saved it as one of my favorites so you can find it on my sparkpage. It's the last thing I saved.

| No I did not see that! I will check it out!

| Did you see the pineapple mango one that came in the Sparks e-mail? That sounded good too and low in calories.

|
| It does and not too high in calories either. I have not experimented with any yet just been doing different fruits, but definitely need to get the lite coconut milk next time I go to the store!

Here are a couple that I like...still have yogurt in two of them, but they might be a variation on what you've done?

I'm not sure what you consider low-calorie, but here's what I usually do:
My main smoothie base is 1 cup of soy Slender Soymilk (70 calories - comes in vanilla, chocolate, and cappucino) and 1 cup of Dannon Light & Fit vanilla yogurt (80 calories). I then add 1 or 2 cups of frozen fruit. I really like mango and banana (and yes, I cut up the banana a freeze so I don't have to use any ice). I prefer thick smoothies.
Try a pina colada smoothie - use frozen pineapple and sub 1 cup of light coconut milk for the soymilk.
Tomorrow I'm trying a strawberry cheesecake smoothie - soymilk, yogurt, frozen strawberries, and low fat cottage cheese.

| I like this one I found on cooking light. Combine 1 cup of orange juice and 1 Tbs. of honey in blender. Then add one banana, 1 peach, 5 strawberries(large). The fruit needs to be sliced. Sometimes I'll add some raspberries too. Throw in some ice cubes and blend. If you split between three people it is 134 calories and .5 grams of fat. By not using yogurt it saves some calories and still is really refreshing. Hope you like it.
