I don't use mayo on my sandwiches, just mustard.

As for potato or pasta salad, can you get ahold of salad dressings? Thousand Island (which is French dressing with sweet relish mixed in), or Ranch or other "creamier" dressings work very well.

Thanks for the suggestion. We do have yogurt and I tried it today; it's pretty good.

What is the availability of plain yogurt? I use it as a substitute for mayo in tuna salads, egg salad, chicken salad, etc. It wouldn't work as a condiment on a sandwich, but you don't even notice the difference in those salads.

I live in a country that is going through food shortages, which includes low fat mayonnaise or diet mayonnaise. I'm looking for a recipe. Can anyone help. Thanks.
