| When I get a craving for Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, my favorite candy, I have some of the Quaker chocolate mini rice cakes with a little Peanut Butter instead; it satifies my craving without all the calories of the Reese's.
| I like nuts, Quaker puffed rice cakes (cheddar cheese, yum!), the 100 calorie cupcakes and the weight watchers chocolate and carrot cake snack cakes.

| I love to snack on air popped popcorn with some spray butter on it...so yummy. ONly 100 cal for 3 tables spoons unpopped...goes a long way. I like sugar free jello and pudding and i love fudge sicles...only 50 calories. i also love reduced fat wheat thins dipped in fresh pico! I like sugar free hot chocolate and crystal light slushes at 7 11!...i could go on forever.....

| I love small quantities of trail mix (dried fruit and nuts). Very satisfying, but high in calories if you over-indulge.
| little cans of fruit are great! pineapples are especially great for a morning ( or afternoon! ) boost. :) yum! dried fruit works well also -- if you're worried about variety, maybe a trail-mix type would appeal to you.

| Strawberries are fresh now and great with fat free Cool Whip. Just cut some strawberries and put them in a baggie. Carry a small amount of cool whip in a small storage bowl. Dump the berries in when ready. Sometimes I mix several berries-raspberries, blueberries and strawberries. Add one of those small angle food cakes and you have a full desert!

| I like bananas too, I also like pineapple tidbits as a snack. Any fruit is a good snack.
| I find that if I have 100 calories snack items on handy, I tend to be happy with one serving!
| Oooo 100 calorie pack snacks are sooo good ^_^ I also bring a bag of snap peas with me to work- sweet crunchy snack that I dont have to feel bad about! =)
| I love all the 100 calorie packs like the oreo cookie thin crisps and the cheetos asteroids, just to name a couple. Mostly I snack on a variety of fruit.

| Odwalla bars are great! They are protein bars. My favorite are the super protein flavor. They have 16 grams of protein a piece. I have found them at Wild Oats and Trader Joes. They are super filling and delicious!
| What is a Odwalla bar & where do I find them?

When I want something sweet...cereal is great. Sugar, yes but less than lots of other things and I get to crunch without the huge calorie count.
You guys have some great ideas! I can't do nuts or dairy, so snacking isn't very fun anymore anyway.

| Trader Joes honey smoked turkey is so good and a really filling snack on its own!

| Do you have a microwave or hot water from your coffee maker? I make a bowl of miso soup when I am craving salt - only 35 calories! (you should be able to find packets in the Asian section of your grocery store - just mix with hot water).

| My super easy snack is a plain banana, it also solves my sweet tooth cravings.
| low sodium ritz crackers with low fat turkey is good.
| One of my favorite snacks is celery with a little bit of peanut butter. Very, very yummy. I also like lite cream cheese wrapped in a thin slice of reduced fat salami. Or a little Peanut Butter on apple slices.
| If I buy a package of crackers, chips, cookies etc. I put it into serving sizes in snack bags right away. That way I don't sit and eat the whole package. It's like the 100 cal packs but cheaper to do it this way.

another good one to satisfy the "crunchies" is cereals -- I like Kashi's organic promise bite size wheat thin like cereal. I can't remember the exact name, but it is so nummy. I like mixing that and chopped fruit in a bowl and eating the cereal and fruit together. It is also good mixed with yogurt. Grape nuts and yogurt (like the yoplait ff apple turnover) is so good too-- it's like eating cold apple struessel. FF Pringles are good too. And the person below me's idea of the pickle with lunchmeat-- that is great too, except I usually put a piece of ff cheese in there too. And it sounds weird, but I am not big on veggies and don't eat as much fruit as I should, so I sometimes I will eat chicken as a snack too. It isn't as low in calories but it keeps you full longer. Even just slice it up in strips or cube it in bite size pieces, pan fry with seasonings, and let cool. Take it in a baggie and munch on it along with like a pickle, low fat sting cheese, or something. And I know you are tired of fruit, but oranges stay fresh peeled in a baggie for a day or so with a protein bar or cocoavia bar (I love the chocolate and blueberrie ones!) Hope this helps, good luck!

| I like to take the thin sliced lunch meat, wrap it around a dill pickle and eat:)

I just read this article... has a few more snack ideas:

| My favorite snacks is a wedge of laughing cow light cheese and reduced fat wheat thins.

| Thanks for the ideas. I do have a fridge in my office, so I can do things that need to be refridgerated.

flavored rice cakes - peanutbutter chocolate chip is a favorite yogurt "sandwiches" - really just low fat lunch meat rolled up in a fat free cheese slice frozen grapes granola bars fruit just about any cut up raw veggie baked chips
| When I'm at work I tend to use a piece of fruit, a granola bar, Quaker "Quakes" (which are small, flavored rice cakes) or a small piece of dark chocolate. Baked chips would be a good idea too.

here's some stuff I like, not very creative, but helps with variety:
cherry Tomatoes and sliced cucumbers
soy crisps - measure out 1 serving at home so you don't eat them all!
light string cheese plus Hormel turkey pepperoni
low-fat/cal microwave popcorn
piece of fruit with a glass of soy milk
on edit: i just re-read that you're at your desk, so is fridge access an issue? I add frozen berries to plain, non-fat yogurt then I don't have to refrigerate it. By the time the berries have thawed, I'm ready to eat it and it's still cold!
| I really like Odwalla bars too. I haven't had them in a while though. I loved the chocolate Peanut Butter ones. hmmm.. maybe I'll have to get some of those...
| It's not really creative, but Odwalla bars are really good. One bar has 16 grams of protein. They are very filling so I usually only eat half at a time. My favorite is the Super protein flavor!
| So, my biggest challenge is snacking. I have a desk job and am often too busy to take time to leave my desk for lunch. I would love some suggestions for low calorie snacks that I can bring to work or keep at my desk. I've done the 100 calorie packs, carrot and celery sticks, fruit, protein bars, etc. My problem is that I need to have variety. I get tired very quickly of eating the same things over and over again. Does anyone have any creative snack ideas that they enjoy?
