There's a diet & exercise assistant on www.palm.com; however I don't know of any that lists restaurant food. I'm gonna have the same problem as I leaving for London in 10 days. I'll try to search the internet if I get a chance.

Just a quick note to thank everyone for their great ideas. I will definitely use these options. It's hard enough to track everything all the time let alone stuff you make on your own. I appreciate the replies. Thanks again!

I use the SP recipe calculator ALL the time!! Go to www.sparkrecipes.com and find the brown "Recipe Calculator" tab and click on it. From there you add ingredients, just like when you add food to your daily nutrition tracker. At the end you have to put in how many servings in your dish... I make a lot of pot meals, so I first write down the empty pot weight and then subtract that from the full pot. Then I make a serving equal to 100 grams. That way I can dish out however much I want, and just weigh it. 300 grams of skillet lasagna is 3 servings... (the whole pot was 1900 grams=19 servings..) This works for me... You can also just go by cups or any other convinient meassure for the dish you're evaluating! Give the dish a title and choose the category and save. Don't forget to uncheck the "Submit to SP" button at the end, if you don't want to share yor recipe... When you're ready to add that meal to your tracker, go to the "Recipe box" tab and click on your dish and add it to your tracker... Fairly simple...

I used this program in School. It was called ESHA..no idea what it meant.

But, mastercook will do what you are asking.

You can also go to the submit a recipe section of Sparkpeople. Thaere you will be guided thruogh the recipe writting process. You can enter raw product information, servings/ ser. size, and it figures out the information for you.

I prefer the engine behind Mastercook (about 9.99-29-99 for deluxe at any Staples, Walmart, etc.)

Does anyone know how to figure out the nutritional value in food that has is homemade? I made this delicious low-cal, low-carb Chicken mediterranean dish on Saturday night & at the leftovers for lunch today. I have no clue how to figure out the nutritional value and where to do it on Sparkpages. Can anyone out there help me?
