It happen to all of us one time or another, but buy a slow cook girl put your food on in the morning go off to school come back and dinner is ready. A slow cooker the gift that keep on giving that is what I did for each of my children and their friends went they grow up

| My fiance cares, haha. He's so tired of the chorus of "OW!" and various clatters that he tells me just to cook when he isn't home hahaha.

| Maybe you can just have one cooked or heated (soup) dish, along with fresh veggies etc from the fridge.They make a great combo & the veggies can be in place of salad.No one says a cuke has to be sliced...cut a few chunks if it works for you.Make a swich of whatever.....just go along till you feel more comfy in the kitchen.You can't rush in,fast...slap a meal on table, then go rushing out.Try cooking only when you have time.Use pot holders.If nothing else, fold dish towels in 1/4ths to use on hot pans.PL

| I'm also in college and am having similar issues. I can't seem to make a single meal without dropping at least two things (usually the type that make loud clattering noises). Recently my roommate had to take over peeling an apple because she didn't trust me not to slice off my hand. I just look at it as part of the game. As long as the food tastes good, and I clean up, who cares about the mess or pain?

| My Mother is a kitchen klutz....she cooks the BEST homemade everything but she constantly burns herself, cut herself and drops things on her feet !!

| Sorry for the mishaps. Sounds like you are trying to rush. Slow down and take your time. There are some great cooking shows on TV that will help teach you how to cut things. Its all in how you hold your fingers. Take a look at some of them. Good luck!

So the hardest part of dieting for me has been learning how to cook. I'm a college student and until recently I didn't even have access to a kitchen. Luckily, I do now, and can eat healthier. But this has lead to bumps, burns, cuts, etc. I think I am incapable of slicing fruit without slicing my finger, as well. And a few nights ago, I dropped a frying pan, hot off the stove, onto my hand! OW!
Please tell me I'm not the only disaster in the kitchen and that I'll get better with time! (Or, thyme. :P)
