Welcome,
If you must use canned food remember to try low sodium, no salt items and rinse contents before use.

| If the recipe says canned veggies, I just skip it or try to substitute frozen veggies. As a fulltime working (out of the house) mom, I just don't have time to keep fresh veggies in my kitchen at all times. Frozen peas, broccoli, corn, edamame, and cauliflour are staples in my house.

| i think it's all about your own personal preferences and also what you have on hand in your cupboard...cooking light has a lot of recipes too, and so does hungry girl.

| One cup is approximately 250 mL, not mg (I assume that's what you meant, but just clarifying)

I have also noticed there is a lot of recipes with canned foods. I just keep looking because I don't use many canned goods, beans, Tomatoes and diced green chilies mostly. Some of the people have no problem with canned foods, some do. You just have to keep looking for a recipe that works for you and uses the stuff you use. Good luck!

Hi i am new here. I am reading on these recipes that you use a lot of canned food so i knwo that it has a lot of additives and sodium, and so on, is it ok to use it, or should it be avoided? i see a lot of them on the diet recipes given here?
Also one more thing to be sure, one cup of mesaurement is 250 mg ???
Thanks so much!
