Sounds like a must have item and with 2 teenagers in the house, seems easy enough for them without all the mess ( I can only hope they make smaller messes)

Hope everyone has a great 4th!!

The only time it doesn't "heat thoroughly" is when there's user error. ie. the plates didn't quick click into place.

Other than that it works just fine. The pain is if you have a lot of cooking to do and it's longer than the 20 mins on the timer. Then you have to go back and do the timer again otherwise the grill turns off on it's on after a while.

I have a GF grill also and used it a LOT, especailly when my job had me going 20 hours a day - set the timer to warm it for 5 minutes, throw on some potato, veggies and meat, and 5 minutes later I had dinner!

I don't use it much now as I'm primarily raw vegan, but for years there I used it several times a week.

I don't know if the newer ones have timers, but were I to get one I would DEFINITELY get one with removable plates. Love the grill, but that puppy is hard to clean! Even if it didn't cook evenly (which I would doubt), I wouldn't care - it'd be worth it to be able to clean it easily and regularly.

We just got a George Foreman last weekend and LOVE it! Wow, why did we wait so long to buy one? lol It doesn't have the removable grill plates but seems easy to clean so far...we've cooked hamburgers, chicken and steak and I can't wait to try paninis and hot dogs and other things!

We have a Hamilton counter grill. I love it! The grids are removable and so is the drip pan. Easy to clean. I always lightly spray it with extra virgin olive oil before I heat it up...makes cleaning super easy!

I have a XL George Foreman and love it. I do not love cleaning it. I recommend getting one that has removable grids you can throw in the dishwasher !!

I keep hearing the ones with the removable grill don't cook evenly and the top is not as hot. Has anyone had that problem?

I wore out my first George Forman grill. I am on my second one with the removeable grids. It is so easy to cleam. Its not great for really thick steaks so I just watch the thickness when at the grocery store. The thick ones go on the grill outside.

I say a Forman grill competition when culinary students were challenged to cook on it. They did all kinds of food's like french toast, grill cheese sandwiches, etc.

I like to throw veggies & mushrooms on mine to go with the steaks or porkchops.

I have a foreman grill I use very rarely. I know a lot of people on here use one a lot, but I guess I prefer other cooking methods most of the time.

I have no idea what you're talking about... singing toaster?? Does it play melodies while it toasts your bread or what??

I have a george foreman grill and it is NICE! I like cooking in it. Easy to clean if you get the one with the plates that come off...but even if you don't it's fairly easy...just don't let it get TOO cold before cleaning. (ie don't leave it over night and expect it to be super easy to clean the next day)

It "drains" the fat out of food so that's nice. The drawback is it tends to squish your food but if you don't care for looks then it's fine. :)

Just wanting to know if anyone has one and uses it or does it gather dust with the singing toaster?
If you have one and use it, which brand do you have?
