I love making omlets with Egg Beaters, and I also use non-stick spray. I have cooked with all of the Egg Beater varieties. I also like to add mushrooms, onion and spinach.

I buy mine at Costco too. Check the package. I think they are good for seven days after opening.

While we are on the topic of Egg Beaters. I buy mine at Costco, so I freeze them since they come in a box of 6. How long are they good unopened once they defrost? Opened?

I think they sell new ones that don't have the toxins anymore.

I used to use the sprays on my nonstick pans, and then I took a nutrition class. They taught us that there are toxins released when you use cooking spray on nonstick pans. Since then, I have been brushing on a thin coat of olive oil to the bottom of the pan and nothing sticks at all.

Same here, I use the butter flavored spray for more natural "egg" taste until my spouse adapts to it.

Great i'm going to try that. I think maybe i'm not using enough spray. I'll only do one or two sprays and i'll be like i'm adding to much spray. I have spray but hardly use it because it doesn't cook well for me, but now I figure its because i'm not using enough spray. That's how I eat my eggs too, but i'll add chopped mushrooms and zucchinis.

I never use oil when cooking anything. When I cook egg beaters, I always use a cooking spray in the skillet and then cook over a medium-low heat. I have never had a problem with the egg sticking to the pan.

Not that you asked but when I cook mine on the stove top, I love to add in some sauteed peppers and onions, some turkey ham and low-fat cheddar cheese. My favorite weekend breakfast!

What's the best way to cook Egg Beaters on the pan without it sticking to the pan? I've cooked it in the microwave before and it doesn't stick to the bowl because I use cooking spray, but I only cook it in the microwave if i'm making a breakfast sandwich. I was thinking there has to be a way to cook way to cook it in the pan without using too much oil. Any tricks people have? Low heat? A spray/oil combo?
