Boca/All American Burger....it just rocks! MorningStar Farms chicken patty or nuggets are really good with the cayenne pepper sauce (Red Devil or similar) and tossed on top of a salad w/FF Blue Cheese dressing. I think it's a matter of individual taste but both have good products and both have products I don't particularly care for.

| We like the Boca Burgers but my fave is the Portabello Burger by Morningstar. The crumbles are great, burger or sausage style. Tried the Morningstar sausage patties and bacon and didn't care for them, but I really like their Chik'n strips. I had to stop buying Morningstar's Mushroom Veggi Bites because I'd eat 1/2 a box at a time. LOVE THOSE THINGS! lol

| I love the Morningstar corn dogs and sausage patties. My family cannot tell the difference when I use those.

| I love the Boca crumbles, didn't like the morning star ones. I use them all the time. I really like the Garden Burger brand. They have a portabella burger that is really good. they also have ribs. I just tried the morningstar corn dogs recently and they weren't too bad.

I like the morning star "sausage" pattie a lot but you have to becareful and not overcook them otherwise they're hard vs. tender. And I like morning star veggie corn dogs. I like boca burgers too and have enjoyed them between two toasted mini whole wheat pitas with all the normal burger fixings. Not sure where you live but where I live, morning star products are about half the price at Trader Joe's than at my normal grocery store (patties are $2.60 vs. $5).

I prefer Morningstar Farm veggie burgers because I think that Bocca veggie burgers taste too much like meat!
Last night I made "chicken" and vegetable fried rice using Morningstar Farm meal starter "chicken strips." I liked them, my children likedh them, my husband did not like them but he prefers real meat and doesn't give fake meat a chance.
The sausage crumbles make really good sausage pizza.

I have only tried a couple of morning star farms products. The sausage patties I didn't care for but I could see myself using them up in a egg roll. But I tried the veggie pattie. Don't remember the exact name, but it was plain, I mean not like southwestern burger or anything like that. It was very good. Even my mom who really likes a good burger loved it. I would add some extra seasoning to it to suit my taste but it was great and it was really easy to heat. Love that.

| I don't know if they are still manufactured, but I used to love Morningstar Farm's Veggie Bites for breakfast. My local Walmart doesn't carry them anymore.... :(

I REALLY love the vegan Boca Burger, gosh that's amazingly good. I also like Gardenburger's Black Bean Chipotle burger.
I can't remember the brand names, but I like the vegan tofu dogs and Italian sausage (I think it's Yves), and when I need a corn dog fix the veg'n corn dogs are really good.
I also use the soy crumbles a lot, using the Original flavoring for things like spaghetti, and the Taco/Burrito flavor in tacos and other Mexican style foods.
For a chicken alternative, Veat is really good. I use it a lot in things like stir frys.
I also sometimes use the vegan bacon and Canadian bacon - it's not bad, but the vegan bacon isn't much like the real thing. The canadian bacon is pretty decent.
I'm not a big fan of breakfast sausage, so that could be it, but I never could get into the Boca Breakfast Patties.

The crumbles are great, because they're a little more "meat-ish" :)
The patties and "chicken" strips aren't really appetizing to me. Mostly because they're not really meat, but they're pretending to be...it just throws me off.
Way to go on choosing the meatless route!

| I definitely like the Boca Burgers better. I don't eat them too often ... only when my son isn't around and I can cook for just myself. He is a big meat eater and won't even try going meatless....oh well..his loss, not mine.

| I love the Boca Burgers. They are really good. We try to have a meatless dinner once a week.

| i like most boca brand meatless products & have only tried a few morning star. one of my favorites is morning star bacon strips. every time i heat them in the microwave my boyfriend swears i'm making real bacon. i also like the crumbles, but i prefer boca. another great product i've discovered is light life chick*n strips. they're pretty realistic & tasty. you could also try their smart dogs.

| i didn't think i could afford meat substitutes until i was at wal-mart a few mornings ago and saw how reasonable their prices were for the whole morningstar line, at least a dollar or two cheaper than my local grocery. next time i'm there i plan on stocking up on the crumbles and the chiknstrip meal starter things.

The vegetarian chorizo is really good too. I use the crumbles for tacos or burritos. I was NOT a fan of the chicken patty things.

I don't like the burgers . . . but I do like the "crumbles" (?) . . . so handy to add to pasta sauce, and my family doesn't realize it isn't ground beef!!
Very good!

| I'm curious about the meatless choices offered by Boca and Morningstar Farms. Do any of you have suggestions or personal favs for a first timer?
