Good to know, thanks.

Actually, I should have made my reply a question rather than a statement.

When putting in a raw vegetable such as zucchini (not listed) what should we do other than using summer squash as the ingredient? How do we know if they have the same nutritional values?

Actually most spices do have some nutritional value and the calories, sodium or carb do count. So let's say ginger is not listed (actually it is) and it has 18.7 calories, 1.7 mg sodium, and 3.8 g carbs (but I don't know this). Since it is not listed (not really, just an example), how do we get this nutritional info into the recipe when we do not know the nutritional info?

When something has a nutritional label the answer is easy, but spices and raw veggies don't have them.

Most spices don't have calories, so I put them anyway. I no longer have the package for my original question, but will post it when I buy another.

I, too, have found ingrdients that are not listed but they are items that I do not have a nutrician label to go by to add, like a spice or a vegetable. So I either leave it out or change it to something else.

Thanks Barleygoogle, I went into "edit" from my recipe box and can pull up nutrition information on the item I entered but have still have not been able to find the link to "report incorrect information".

Yes. When you check the link to pull up nutrition information on an item, another window will show up, called Nutrition Info. Just below the name of the item, then the serving size, there is a link called report incorrect nutrition info. Make your changes there.

To add to this discussion, I entered a food not listed then tried to edit it because I forgot the sodium value. Is it possible to edit the values or eliminate the item? I could not find edit or delete once entered, so I now have two entries - one incorrect.

When you are searching, there is a button on top that says "enter a food not listed"

Can you please tell me how to put ingredients that aren't on the choices for recipes or meals. Example: I posted my Southwest Breakfast Casserole, but couldn't find the lighter version of Jimmy Dean sausage on the choices, so I put in regular sausage, making the calories look higher per serving.

Thanks for the help,
Shirl
