How about kosher chicken / turkey? You can either get breast meat and cook that in a variety of ways (to serve on salads, in wraps, with pasta, with veggies, etc., etc.) or you can have it ground for turkey burgers, chili, meatloaf, etc.
Have you tried other kinds of fish? Monkfish is a very lobster like fish (though it is a true fish and not shellfish, so it SHOULD be kosher...but double check). There are also those fake crab stick things that they sell in the deli. Double check, but I think those are also kosher. Those are great as a seafood salad. Just mix with light mayo, lemon juice, splenda, and some seasoning and serve on top of a green salad.
There are also a lot of veggie "meat" products, like veggie hot dogs, burgers, "chicken" patties, etc. that you might want to try.
I hope this helps!

Hi Everyone,
I'm in a bit of a rut with my eating habits. So far, I've lost 40 lbs. but it's getting harder, because I get bored easily, especially with food. I'm traditionally a fan of carbs, cheese and treats, but I need to eat more protein.
My problem comes in because I live with my grandparents who keep strict kosher, which means no cheese with meats and no seafood, which I could eat shrimp every day of my life, I don't get tired of that.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get some good kosher protein in, I'm also not a big fan of fish, I like lox, whitefish and thats about it.
