My Grandma believed in 'Geritol' liquid form, health food section of WalMart.

Don't forget beans,meat & always use Cast iron to cook with- adds iron to the food. Careful not to 'over-do'. Just as dangerous as not having 'enough' iron.

Denise, thanks for the article. Its says, besides egg yolk, spinach, peas and beans are good sources plus other foods.

I know I have to do extra for iron So glad to hear eggs have iron Tuna, chicken ,potato or a nice tossed salad are great with a boiled egg

hi i need to get my iron intake up, i don't like taking pills and don't particularly like salad leaves much and my husband has to watch his cholesterol level so can't really eat much red meat or eggs. am i screwed lol
