Congratulations JAN155!

In honor of National Hot Tea Month, our friends at Traditional Medicinals® will be giving away a basket of delicious teas to one lucky SparkPeople member. Traditional Medicinals' pharmacopeial grade tea products meet the highest quality standards and include herbal teas (from flowers, berries or roots), as well as green teas, and herbal supplements.

Hot tea is chock full of amazing benefits. Drinking flavorful teas can satisfy your desires for something sweet and the warmth can melt away life's stress and anxiety.

You can find Traditional Medicinals products in supermarkets, specialty food stores, or directly from their website.

Here are some of my favorite Traditional Medicinal teas:

Organic Golden Green Tea®
is how I start my day. It’s delicate on the taste buds and its natural caffeine gives me the mental alertness I need.

Organic Peppermint is perfect for a high tea afternoon break. I rely on it when my energy level dips and I need a boost to get me through dinner. Its natural sweetness makes it a healthy afternoon treat that replaces sugary treats.

Organic Easy Now® is what I serve when a friend comes over to visit. Its unique taste comes from a blend of herbs, including Chamomile, Lavender and Passionflower. It reminds me to slow down, pause and listen.

Organic Nighty Night®
is how I end my day. Whether I’m reading a book, writing in my journal or visiting with my husband, it’s the perfect twilight ritual.

There are so many different teas I like, but my favorite is a strawberry white tea that I buy loose at a local tea shop. In the summer I brew it double strength then pour over ice to make ice tea. Yum! This week my favorite tea is a coconut green tea. - 1/27/2012   1:06:47 PM

I also like REpublic of Tea especially their vanilla almond! I actually forgot about Traditional Medicinal tea and need some! I'm going to check their site out and see what I need and see if I can get it in my grocery store! I have a sinus infection now that calls for some breathe easy! Thanks for this offer! - 1/22/2012   1:15:47 PM

When I was younger I hated tea! My Mother always insisted it was "good for you." Now that I'm in my 50's, and for the past few years, I start my mornings off with a cup of tea. My favorite is whatever I'm drinking with my Mom! I truly LOVE tea and she was right...it is "good for you." - 1/22/2012   11:49:53 AM

I've tried most of the teas, including an occasional Smoove Move :-). Now that my 10 yr old is drinking tea regularly I am looking for the Just For Kids but have not been able to find it. - 1/22/2012   10:56:00 AM

I love, love, love good tea. I even have a few tea bags stashed in my purse in case I go somewhere that doesn't have any I like :) My favorite everyday tea is the Irish breakfast, nice strong flavor, really gets me going in the morning, But I also love Earl Gray, English Breakfast, Peppermint and Chai teas. I occasionally use the herbal "medicine teas" as needed and love both this brand and another. Thanks to the company for offering up such a nice treat, and while I would love to win this, this, I think someone who has never tried these teas before would really appreciate this basket. - 1/21/2012   3:25:01 PM

I am an avid tea (and coffee) drinker. Our family drinks more hot tea during the colder months. I used to only drink black teas; however, over the past few years I have gained an appreciation for the wide variety of herbal teas available. Peppermint tea has always been a favorite with the little ones for tummy trouble and cold relief. My favorite Traditional Medicinal tea is Throat Coat. It immediately soothes an irritated throat like nothing else in my arsenal of all natural cures can. - 1/21/2012   3:14:45 PM

Even though I'm more of a coffee drinker, I like tea as well. Of the Traditional Medicinal brand, I'm fond of their Eater's Digest after meals, and their PM Cold Care is really good as well. As for favorites--Irish Breakfast for black tea, Good Earth's Original Sweet and Spicy for herb teas. - 1/21/2012   2:09:40 PM

I like their "Just for Kids" line, especially Nighty Night and Organic Throat Coat. (Grown-ups can use them too, but you know the herbs are safe for your little ones.) I've used the adult Throat Coat and their chamomile and nettle teas. - 1/21/2012   1:08:20 PM

I love tea. Recently, I started using loose tea leafs. I have a cast iron tea pot, that has a basket in it for brewing. I keep on the wood burning stove all winter.

Traditional Medicinals' teas have the best flavor, as compared to other "medical" teas that I have tried/ Throat Coat, can't be beat! - 1/21/2012   11:01:45 AM

I like Earl Gray. (There is also Lady Gray, that is not as potent.) I love the aroma. Then I actually found the "Bergamot" that is flavored in the tea was in a cologne. I would spritz it on, and then say to my husband, "want some tea"?Then I would nuzzle him to my neck. Who said tea can't be romantic! - 1/21/2012   10:59:33 AM

I don't think I've tried this particular brand before, but I am a big fan of peppermint tea. I also like teas that are fruity, like apple cinnamon or blackberry. Yum-o! - 1/21/2012   10:15:51 AM

Tea is my beverage of choice. I have to force myself to limit myself to only 2 cups per day and drink water instead.
I've never had really good tea though, nor organic. I wonder how it tastes different than store brand or lipton. Good luck, everyone! Enjoy it whoever wins! :-) - 1/21/2012   10:12:08 AM

Gypsy Cold Care has been in my stash of herbal teas for tending to a cold, for years and years. I even have a special cup devoted to brewing up a large mug that I can hold and sip. Clears my head and helps me to sleep. Great herbal tea comes from Traditional Medicinals.( I know I sound like a commercial.) - 1/21/2012   8:09:27 AM
