You have to use Facebook or Twitter or something like that to join the challenge. I don't want to use those venues for my weight loss journey. - 1/20/2012   1:10:58 AM

Not a chance! I am 5 foot 10 inches and I was only 130 pounds when I got married. My Sparkpeople goal is 155! I was too thin then. Also having 2 children added permanent inches to my waist.

My daughter couldn't wear it either and she was 5 feet 8 and 120 pounds but her shoulders were too wide. - 1/20/2012   12:47:08 AM

Not a chance -- my wedding gown was a size 32 ... currently wear an 8-12 depending on style. - 1/19/2012   8:08:33 PM

This could be fun. I got married 3 years ago and I was 60 pounds lighter but I still wasn't even near my idea weight or a healthy weight. But it should would be nice to at least get back down to that size! - 1/19/2012   5:58:48 PM

Sorry but I'd been very sick the winter before. By the time I was to wear the dress, I was well BUT still atleast 10 lbs underweight (under the low end of healthy BMI). I never want to be that skinny again. - 1/19/2012   5:27:35 PM

I'm not sure it's possible to fit back into my wedding dress. I was a size 1 when I married 15 years ago. When I was getting into good shape about 5 years ago, I got down to a size 5 and felt/looked pretty good. I've gained a lot of strength, especially in my upper body. I think I'd have to lose muscle mass to get back down to where I was! Still, I'm curious now to go try my dress on and see how small it is...it's in a garment bag in the back of the closet. - 1/19/2012   3:33:30 PM

I was already 100+ overweight when I got married almost 17 years ago... would be more fun to reach my 20th wedding anniversary and already be at goal weight - maybe alter the wedding down to my new size? or find a newer cuter wedding dress! - 1/19/2012   3:10:36 PM

I got married in Reno 40 years ago and I wore jeans. Pretty sure they would still fit me but bell bottoms are out of style now. - 1/19/2012   1:25:09 PM

I am happy to join the ranks of those whose dress is now too big! I got married 2 years ago this month and now weigh 30 pounds less than I did then! Hurrah and Thank YOU, SparkPeople! No regrets (on the weight loss or the marriage!) I'm almost 55, getting healthier and stronger, and this is definitely the very BEST time of my life! Looking forward to being an even bigger loser :-) in 2012! - 1/19/2012   1:22:12 PM

I got married back in 1971. My dress was originally a size 10, and altered down to a size 7. My chances of ever getting back into it are slim and none. - 1/19/2012   12:54:21 PM

This was pretty funny for me..this morning I was noticing my wedding dress which I keep in my closet and making a mental note that the dress would look like a sack on me today...it's a size 14 and I'm no a size 8. Not going back there!!! (Which is why I keep the dress where I can see it--a perfect reminder of how far I have come.)

When I was married in 1968, my gown was a "Size 9" but by size standards today, that would be about a Size 2, since I was 5'4" and 118" with a 23 inch waist. Dress was in the attic at my In-laws so I don't know what became of it. - 1/19/2012   12:06:13 PM

One of my long range goals when I joined SparkPeople back in June, 2010 was to fit into my wedding dress again. I successfully reached that goal on the 30th anniversary of my wedding, Dec. 19, 2011! It was an amazing feeling. With the support and encouragement of my family, friends and SparkPeople.com, I reached my weight goal as well as fitting in "the dress" again! My wedding dress is too big for me!! Or, should I say, I am now too small for it. :-) - 1/19/2012   12:19:10 AM

I can see this working for a lot of people, but I was a size 18 when I got married ... I'm a size 12 currently heading back to size 6 (where I was 2 years ago). The only way I want to fit in my dress again is by altering IT to fit ME, not me it. :) - 1/18/2012   11:10:40 PM
