You talk about Yo Yo diet some of those celebs are the spokespeople for them. It seems everytime their successes on their new diets quit making news they go back to their original sizes. Marie and Star have been pretty good. Personally ready made frozen meals doesn't send me. It doesn't teach you how to prepare your own portions. My question is What happens when the program is over? - 3/1/2011   11:12:38 AM

Couldn't pass up the Celeb article... they struggle just like the rest of us only with the eyes of the world on them... yuck... wouldn't trade places!!! Also checked out the sweet potato recipe, although I like mine straight... and enjoyed seeing Joy Baurer's shopping recommendations:) Thanks for sharing! - 2/28/2011   9:17:49 AM

I just had to check out the recipe for the Meyer Lemon Spice Bread. We had a single lemon on our tree last year, but the tree is now LOADED with blossoms, so I am enjoying the scent now and the thought of many recipes later this year! - 2/27/2011   11:38:09 PM

Replace the VOICES in your head: I've read "Shrink Yourself" by Roger Gould, M.D. and he calls that VOICE "Harriet" and gives all the help you need on telling her to shut up. We have a Spark team here for support. I got his book at the library. He deals with emotional eating and has been an expert on obesity for over 20 years.
Judith Beck, PhD "The BECK Diet Solution" also teaches how to tell that VOICE to shut up, as she teaches how to THINK like a THIN person. She's been a Professor at the U. of Pa. for over 20 yrs. - 2/27/2011   11:34:50 PM

I really liked seeing the 25 Shocking Celebrity Weight Transformations and hearing how they did it. It sounds like a few them that are yo-yo dieting could benefit from a lifestyle change that Sparkpeople promotes! It really makes me wonder if they are on here and we just never know it because they don't display photos of themselves.. interesting thought! Also, I didn't like seeing how some dropped weight to display being a cancer victim. It didn't seem right. And, it seems like it could be dangerous for their health. I am glad I do not have a job that insists I look like I am sick! - 2/27/2011   4:56:57 PM

I read the article about eating nuts. I have been eating almonds daily, taking omega 3's, adding flaxseed to my oatmeal, and taking coq10 to make sure my heart is working well. Somehow it didn't work. I have open heart surgery on Wednesday, but despite that, I still believe that nuts are good for you and will get back to that regimend after this is all behind me. - 2/27/2011   3:30:10 PM

I found the 25 celebrity weight changes pretty dramatic. I can't believe that Christen Bale can do what he does to his body and still be healthy. He dropped an astonishing amount of weight to play the meth addicted brother in the Fighter. Now, he's packing the muscle back on to play Batman. He's done this for multiple roles and his body seems to be able to stand up to the punishment. I'm astonished.

50 Cent and Renee Zellweger scare me. She actually looked pretty healthy to me in Bridget Jones Diary. - 2/27/2011   10:44:21 AM
