    I read the article on introducing new greens into your salad and had a flashback to when I was a young teenager. My mom went around the yard collecting greens for dinner and I absolutely LOVED them, but apparently something she picked didn't love me! I broke out in a full body rash! it was gone quickly, but haven't tried any of the yard greens since, b/c I had no idea which was I was allergic to! But I do remember loving them! :)

    I was glad to hear about the brown rice. i have seen it and i read the ingredients but only had it a couple of times but now i feel better if i need to have some rice quickly instead of waiting for the other kind to cook. - 5/6/2012   11:17:05 PM

    All of the stories are quite interesting; however, there are some problems with the healthy eating while traveling article. I travel often, and there are many food items you cannot take through security. I've even had them confiscate a muffin (not commercially packaged) that I had purchased from Starbucks immediately outside the security area. This doesn't apply to pre-packaged food items (e.g. candies, chips, beef jerky, etc.) and remarkably, fresh fruit. I have always been able to take an apple or banana with me through security. Liquids, gels and creamy substances are not allowed, so be sure to nix sandwich dressings like mayo, unless you bring it in a packet and add it later. - 5/6/2012   11:39:26 AM
