Congratulations!

Have you added yoga into your workout rotation yet? We're big fans of yoga here at the dailySpark; it is great for stress-relief, flexibility, strength, and mental clarity, and is an excellent compliment to many exercise routines. Some of us on staff practice yoga on a regular basis and have seen amazing physical and mental changes as a result. So, naturally, when we came across The Ultimate Yogi DVD Set, we had to check it out!

The Ultimate Yogi is a set of 12 DVDs, containing 14 challenging yoga workouts and a meditation component, to be completed over the course of 108 days. The set comes with a training guide and nutrition plan. Here is a description of the program, from the Ultimate Yogi website:

''The Ultimate Yogi is the most comprehensive yoga DVD set on the market. Renowned yoga instructor Travis Eliot will take you to your physical limits and beyond on this 108-Day Journey. Each of the 14 Thematic Yoga classes are comprised of creative sequences that will challenge the expert and encourage the beginner. The Ultimate Yogi is MORE than just a fitness program, it is a transformational experience guaranteed to improve your quality of life.''

Stepfanie, our very own dailySpark editor, took a peek at the set herself. Here's what she had to say:

''I’m a yoga teacher and Ashtanga student myself, so I was really excited to see such a comprehensive set. That said, this program is only suitable for those who already have an intermediate-level yoga practice. I would not recommend it for beginners, but it would be a good resource for yoga students looking to broaden their practice.''

Are you looking to take your yoga practice up a notch? Do you have a yogi friend who you'd love to surprise with a fun gift? Here's your chance: we're giving away an Ultimate Yogi DVD set to one lucky winner!

I enjoyed taking yoga classes at the gym, but right no it doesn't work for my family. The time the class is offered clashes with other commitments. - 8/7/2012   8:19:59 AM

These DVD's sound awesome! I've been doing yoga for around 4-5 years. It's help keep fibromyalgia in check and has made me a much more spiritual person. I'm now saving up to become a certified yoga instructor and use yoga as a form of physical therapy. - 6/6/2012   9:54:54 AM

Practiced yoga consistently for well over a decade then fell off. Will be getting back on the 'wagon' again because my body feels whole and balanced and my mind feels clear when yoga is a part of my daily routine. - 6/3/2012   1:46:45 PM

I LOVE yoga. My chiropractor told me five years ago that I'd have to do it for the rest of my life if I wanted to continue being able to walk and didn't want my messed up back getting in the way. I haven't always kept up with it, but I've been doing it on an irregular basis since and it's definitely helped a lot. Whenever my back starts bothering me, I pop in my favourite DVD and feel tons better by the time I'm done. I've been doing it regularly for the past three months now and it's amazing how much back pain I don't have anymore. - 6/3/2012   8:47:18 AM

Yoga helps me calm my mind and lets my soul breathe. I no longer am able to do some of the poses as I could a few years ago and I continue to enjoy Yoga. This DVD collection sounds as though it would be challenging and wonderful! - 6/2/2012   10:47:28 AM

In the 1960's Richard Hittleman was the only person doing YOGA on TV on Saturday and he wrote a best selling book. But BKS Iyengar's "Light on YOGA" was the true authority on the subject. I love the DVD's by RODNEY YEE who is an Iyengar instructor. Also, Priscilla Patrick whose PBS-TV series on Stretching is a wonderful done. Her web site is at YogaOne(dot)com. She is now in her late 60's and remains 5'6" and 110#, after raising 3 children. - 6/2/2012   9:30:06 AM

sv6mile, you mentioned there are websites for yoga. Would you share which ones are good? I would love to add yoga to my routine, but can't find more time to go to classes, so doing it at home would be great! Thanks! - 6/2/2012   7:53:31 AM

I have been practicing Yoga for about 8 yrs and teaching for the past 2. Yoga has helped improve my flexibility and strength, calmed my mind and helped me to develop into a strong individual with a very sunny disposition! If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it for it's variety of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual benefits! - 6/2/2012   7:50:47 AM

I love my yoga practice. Several years ago I was informed I have a degenrative disc and would need back surgery. I could not sleep 2 hours without waking up in severe pain. After just 6 months of yoga, I was pain free and now sleep through the night. I could give up all of my different exercises except yoga. - 6/2/2012   1:56:35 AM

This would be fantastic to win! :D I already do a little bit of yoga and always wanted to join a class but money and time (I mostly work at nights) does not sit in my favor. Doing this at home would be a plus!
