CONTEST CLOSED: Giveaway: Les Mills PUMP Strength Training Set
Contest closed! The winner is:
KHTERRY
Congratulations!
Are you still dragging your feet on strength training? You're not alone--many people tend to skimp on the weights in favor of calorie-torching cardio. However, while cardio is excellent for weight loss, strength training is just as important since lean muscle mass burns more calories than fat mass, even when you're at rest. So by lifting weights, you'll transform yourself into a more efficient calorie-burning machine while changing your physique from the inside out! Plus, strength training helps to increase bone density and maintain joint flexibility, which is crucial as you age.
You might feel that strength training sounds good in theory, but don't know where to start. You may lack the motivation, or need some help structuring an effective plan. Or, you might not feel comfortable working out in the weight room just yet. Do any of these excuses sound familiar? Look no further: we've got the strength training solution for you!
Beachbody's Les Mills PUMP is a home strength training system based on the popular fitness class, 'Body Pump.' Using a barbell loaded with low weights at high repetitions, this full-body strength training program will tone you up and slim you down from head to toe--all from your very own living room. Here's what Beachbody has to say about the program:

''With over three million loyal gym-going followers and a presence in over 80 countries world-wide, Les Mills Body Pump has secured its place as the #1 gym exercise program on the planet. The only downside associated with the famed program is that users can’t bring it home. Until now. Beachbody, fitness innovators behind blockbuster home-fitness programs like P90X, INSANITY, Turbo Fire and RevAbs among others, has joined forces with Les Mills to bring the popular high-energy, previously gym-only workout into homes across America.
Just like the gym-only class millions have grown to love, Beachbody’s Les Mills PUMP relies on high reps at low weight to help users achieve lean muscles and improved strength… all while working out from the comfort of their living rooms. PUMP allows users to burn up to 1,000 calories per workout all while staying in-tune with music that is perfectly timed to each move. Ideal for all fitness levels looking to gradually tone, Les Mills PUMP comes on seven DVDs and includes a barbell as well as a set of 5 and 10 pound weights.''
We received a full set from Beachbody to review, and we agree that this system is great for both beginner and advanced exercisers who want a structured, motivating, and challenging strength program that they can do from home. If this sounds like the program for you, you're in luck! We're giving away a Les Mills PUMP set to one winner, including seven DVDs, a barbell, and a set of 5 and 10 pound weights.

For those of you complaining about the gift, first it is FREE, so there is "no fraction of the cost". Secondly, if you outgrow the weights, for a "fraction of the cost" of the entire set, you can add plates.
Thank you SparkPeople for offering something to add lean muscle to our bodies. - 4/13/2012 9:10:11 AM
I have a couple of resistance bands that I use with the Coach Nicole's videos, but I could definitely use more structure and intensity. It would be nice to win, but good luck to everyone.
Thanks SP for keeping up the giveaways! - 4/9/2012 12:30:09 PM
Since reading that weight training is such a BIG part
of weight loss, would LOVE a system. Unfortunately,
2 years of unemployment (and counting) prohibits
purchasing.
I don't enter every contest. Some things I don't need
or am not interested in. And others need stuff worse
than I.
Good Luck, All !
