Congratulations!

If you've been hanging around SparkPeople for a while, you know that we believe small changes can make a big difference when it comes to healthy living. So it should be no surprise that we love the Fitbit! It's a convenient and discreet device that really motivates you to move more during the day. Many of us on staff have been faithfully wearing it for months now, logging steps and calories while seeing a drastic increase in our daily movement over time. We're so impressed with our own results that we've decided to share the wealth--by giving away a Fitbit One (provided by Fitbit) to FIVE lucky dailySpark readers!

This powerful gadget logs your steps taken, distance traveled, floors climbed, and calories burned, all in a sleek, portable package. You can even track your sleep patterns and use it as a silent, vibrating alarm clock. We also like that you can sync your Fitbit One data wirelessly to your mobile device (and sync wirelessly with SparkPeople's Fitness Tracker). As a bonus, the Fitbit One rewards your efforts with fun badges whenever you reach certain milestones and gives you words of encouragement throughout the day. What's not to love?

The new year is just around the corner, and we know you have a lot of big plans to make 2013 your best, healthiest year yet. And we think a brand new Fitbit One can help you do just that. Consider it our healthy holiday gift to you!

To enter, click here! Don't forget to read the rules. This contest ends one week from today.

How would a Fitbit One help you in your healthy lifestyle journey?

I think I have a distorted sense of how much I move (or not) durin my regular workday and I think a fitbit will help with that and help me to slowly make [lasting] changes to my diet and activity level. - 12/19/2012   2:27:32 PM

I think it would benefit me greatly because I am doing so many things during the day that it is easy to forget this or that. Sometimes I will remember something late at night and think, "I need to log that into SparkPeople" but it is inconvenient to get back up and turn the computer back on (my hubby already thinks I spend too much time on the computer), so having something like this would be real helpful! - 12/18/2012   2:21:37 PM

This would be SO incredibly helpful to me!!! I've been fighting a consistant war with my pedometer lately - it'll reset at random, if you look at it the wrong way (I'm not kidding - if you tilt it up from your belt, it'll lose everything!) - and now I have to constantly check it and scribble down notes about my steps and distance.
It would help, too, because I can't even begin to think about buying a new one. :-( - 12/17/2012   9:26:52 PM

This is my splurge when I get my tax return. I have a pedometer and want to take that next step in my fitness! I am a single mom and definitely don't have the money in my budget for something like this but am trying, in my mid-40's to get healthy and strong. I actually feel better now than I did in my 30's. - 12/17/2012   2:28:05 PM

This is ALL I want for Christmas this year! Unfortunately, my husband is out of work and we are struggling just to get gifts for the kids. There will be no gifts for my husband or me this year. Would be a dream come true as I am on my weight loss journey (23 lbs down) and really working out again! - 12/15/2012   10:38:19 PM

It would be so nice to have one, I can't afford to buy one and this would help me in my weight loss and see how I am doing. It would help encourage me when I am down and don't see why I am not losing. - 12/15/2012   3:11:28 PM

Winning the Fitbit would definitely be an addition to help me with accurately tracking steps as the pedometer I have gets stuck and doesn't seem to keep counting! :( Also, all the features and syncing with Sparkpeople is excellent and would help me with maintaining my consistency with workouts, etc. - 12/15/2012   1:20:26 PM

I am struggling to get back on the wagon and find my spark again and washed my electronic pedometer last week. I've read about the Fitbit and think it will help me to track more accurately and give me a little more inspiration. My budget is severely challenged so I hope to win one. Good luck everyone! - 12/15/2012   10:59:29 AM

I received a FitBit for my birthday mid-November and while I think it can measure steps and calories burned, I think the it is way off when doing weight training and yoga. I was start getting into when but after one ab class and one weight class, my fit bit was nowhere to be found. I think they need to develop a better way to secure them as if I can't handle sticking around for that amount of exercise it's really not worth it. Funky item but I won't be replacing as I think SparkPeople does a better job of tracking along with a cheaper pedometer that you don't feel bad about if you lose. - 12/15/2012   10:58:32 AM

I love tracking -- food, exercise, water -- you name it. I like that this does so much more than a pedometer AND that it synchs to my SP fitness tracker. I hope I win, but I know the Fitbit will help the lucky five, whoever they are! - 12/15/2012   9:17:33 AM
