While we love the family togetherness that comes with the winter holidays, and we cherish the "clean slate" mentality that the new year brings, this year, we at SparkPeople are counting down to one day and one day only: December 29.

Why December 29, you ask?

Because that is the day we've been anticipating for over a year. It's the day when you will be able to walk (or run) into your favorite bookseller and finally buy a copy of the book that will change your life forever: The Spark.

In addition to buying the book wherever books are sold, some top health and fitness bloggers are giving away copies of The Spark. The giveaways kick off today over at one of the web's top food blogs, Kath Eats Real Food. Winner of numerous awards, including food blog of the year from Foodbuzz, Kath's blog chronicles her daily healthy eats, along with her journey to become a registered dietitian and open a bakery with her husband.

Click here to read what she has to say about The Spark. (And hurry--she's choosing the winners tonight!)

While Kath is kicking off the giveaways, plenty of other bloggers have signed on to help Spread the Spark!

Check out the blogs that will be hosting giveaways in the next couple of weeks:

Fit Bottomed Girls
Jenn and Erin mix sound fitness advice with great writing and a fabulous sense of humor!

Fit-Ink
This fairly new blog, co-written by a 10-time Chicago Marathon runner, is a must-read for all runners and triathletes.

Healthy Tipping Point
If Caitlin looks familiar, it's because she's the genius behind Operation Beautiful as well. She's a runner with no tolerance for "fat talk."

Carrots N Cake
Tina, who just started yet another awesome blog, is the queen of moderation and balance. This Beantown blogger is a big fan of entering recipe contests, Cookie Fridays--and pugs.

The Inner Workings of a College Graduate
Meghann is a lean, mean super kind running machine and an eternal optimist. There's no vegetable this girl won't try (a woman after my own heart), and she's training to run her first marathon.

MizFitOnline
MizFit is her own super hero, and she should be yours, too. With the tagline "…because fitness isn't about fitting in," you'll love reading her blog. Rumor has it that she's planning a video review of The Spark because she loves it THAT MUCH!

CrankyFitness
Crabby McSlacker is her name, and while she finds eating right and staying fit just as challenging as the rest of do, she does it. She'll inspire you, too.

ThenHeatherSaid
This blogger has used SparkPeople to help her along her own journey to a healthier life, and she's quite an articulate writer. Her blog is young, but she has quickly gained the respect of her fellow bloggers for her insight, thoughtful posts and compassion.

SocialWorkout
If you're looking for the latest and greatest fitness news, this is the place to find it.

We hope you'll check out these blogs--and enter their giveaways. Not willing to test your luck? Then pre-order a copy of The Spark today!
