I did Tae-Bo for 2 years at the studio. My first class that I ever took was with Billy Banks. I couldn't move for days, but, I kept on going back. I had the most amazing arms. I was fortunate to have his brother, sister, and daughter as instructors as well. It would be great to see what his son does. Hopefully, I'll be one of the lucky ones. - 8/19/2010   10:54:48 PM

I haven't tried much dance as part of fitness routine, though I occasionally put on an Eric Dodge (Country singer) CD and he makes me "step" - actually stops me emptying the dishwasher till the end of a track.
I'm disappointed that I can't enter the competition, but I do fully understand re postage and insurance.
Good luck to everyone who can enter, though - I hope the winners all enjoy and appreciate :) - 8/18/2010   7:23:51 PM
I have the Billy Blanks Sr. workouts but I haven't heard of his son doing any. I would love to give it a try! Anything to mix it up is the way to go. - 8/18/2010   6:00:28 PM
Billy Blanks is one tough guy. If his son is anything like his father, I'd be sure glad to try out any video he puts out! - 8/18/2010   4:44:23 PM

I have never tried to dance as exercise. I suffer from PKD and have had 6 surgeries since Dec. 11, 2008. I am ashamed to say I have gained weight after each of the surgeries. (Last surgery was Aug. 4, 2010 and I actually LOST 3 pounds). I will eventually end up on a transplant list for a kidney. Polycystic Kidney Disease is hereditary, where cysts grows on the kidney's and liver.

I joined a Planet fitness, but find doing the same thing can get boring. The gym is 40 minutes away from my home, but close to work. I would love to something to exercise to on my days off work. Or on days like today...I just got the go ahead to resume normal activity, but have nothing (no dvd's, or equipment) to exercise to.

I need motivation to lose weight so I can get on the transplant list!!! - 8/18/2010   4:12:34 PM

I've been wanting to get a Zumba dvd (but not at full price) - and I'd tried the dad's TaeBo but was really too weak for it - just wore me out and I gave up. I loved dancing in the 70's as a teen and remember being sweaty after a couple hours of dancing! why did I quit?? - 8/18/2010   3:30:12 PM

I would LOVE to try something along this line.

No one here even thinks of offering classes like this. I asked someone at our local recreaction center about Zumba...and they looked at me like I had two heads. Didn't have a clue. I just want to try it!

Dancing the pounds off and dancing the muscle on sounds like great fun and I would be thrilled if one of these CDs found its way to my mailbox! - 8/18/2010   9:27:22 AM

I have incorporated Zumba into my workout plans, it is fabulous, you have a great time, learn a few salsa and mambo steps. Get an extremely good cardio workout and have fun at the same time. I've done Billy's Tapes they are excellent back in the day, but staying motivated by yourself isn't fun. A class group session is best.... - 8/18/2010   9:23:34 AM
