As the song goes: "Summertime... and the living is easy..." especially when dinner is cooked on the backyard grill. You don't have to heat up the kitchen, you can enjoy the beautiful weather, and you can create a healthy, flavorful meal without any added fats or oils.

    Another great add-on is to add fruit to the grill. A pineapple ring, peaches, bananas. All healthy and gives you a sweetness any diet will love. Add balsamic reduction for added bonus especially on peaches... mmmm - 6/26/2015   6:09:25 AM

    These are great ideas. For those who believe its too meat heavy or expensive, Use these as starting points. You can always alter it to fit your needs and budget. For example the potato pack.     Lots of great recipes here! But very meat-heavy for me--for budget, health & environmental reasons, I'm mostly vegetarian.

    A friend gave me a really great grilling tray, & I've been using it to grill veggies--cherry tomatoes, sliced green/yellow/red sweet peppers, & mushrooms. Beforehand I mix a small amount of extra virgin olive oil with some dried oregano & thyme, & toss the veggies in it with a little salt & pepper. They are just heavenly! - 6/8/2012   3:44:45 PM
