See More: spread the spark,
It has been an extra busy and exciting week so far at SparkPeople. We're all hard at work preparing for this Saturday's Spark Your Life Convention here in Cincinnati and brainstorming with co-workers who are in town for the event. (Are you coming? It's not too late to register!)

Then this morning, SparkPeople was featured on the local Fox affiliate's morning show! One of our successful local members and Jenny, who heads up our city teams, spoke about the Convention. They'll both be attending on Saturday!

Click the video below to watch it now!

(Press the "play" button at the bottom left corner of the video to start the clip.)

Are you excited for Saturday's convention? I sure am. I didn't get to go to the San Diego Spark Your Life convention, so this will be my first chance to meet some of you in person. I can't wait!

If you're still considering attending the convention, it's not too late. Sign up here!

I know I am going to be so itchy on Saturday because I want to be there so bad! Unfortunately, the haul from South Texas is a little bit far and too expensive.

Have any SparkPeople staffers thought about putting together a survey that lets Sparkers interested in attending a convention vote as to where they'd like it to be held? I would really love to see one down South - a lot of expanding waistlines down here, so we could use the motivation! :) - 9/22/2009   5:20:52 PM

I can't attend the Cincy conference, but I had a great time in San Diego!

That being said, I REALLY hope the Sparkpeople organizing team (Jenny, Beth, etc) put a little bit of the budget into lighting the stage for the conference. Last time, it was REALLY difficult to see the speakers, and therefore focus on the content at times. It doesn't take much, but needs a little bit of a boost =)
(If that has not been done yet, sparkmail me, and I can recommend two companies that I used to work for in the area who can provide lighting for the event at a low cost!)

How I wish I could afford to come to Cincinnati for the second convention! I attended the first one and loved it! I was happy to be able to drive to the one in Southern California, I still use the tools and inspiration I learned that day to help me be strong! I had found SP just 6 weeks before, so I was really new and vulnerable to the success stories and tips I was exposed to by the chosen speakers and guests. I am waiting for the Spark book to be released, I try to spread the spark every where I go and maybe by the next convention I will be in a better place financially to make the trip (Who knew I wouldn't have a job 6 months later?!)

I pray that many SP members will be able to attend Cincinnati. I hope they go with their eyes, minds and hearts wide open, because to miss even a moment would be sad!

Again, Thank you SP for saving my life! - 9/22/2009   4:19:50 PM

I am sooo excited for Saturday's convention. The member panel is definitely the highlight of the whole day, in my opinion. Laura (from the video) did a great job on the news and I can't wait to hear more about her story and meet her in person. Woo hoo! - 9/22/2009   4:06:39 PM
