In summertime, I rarely turn on the stove and oven. We love to eat outdoors, grilling up everything from fish to vegetables from our garden. And, of course, burgers. I don't eat much red meat, but I do love a good burger. This turkey burger is a fun twist.

You'll forget all about beef burgers once you try these. Serve with half a pita pocket, sliced tomato, and mixed greens for a quick and tasty dinner. Salty and rich feta is mixed with lean ground turkey and Greek herbs for a juicy and delicious burger.

Sorry, but turkey is so yucky! I can hardly choke it down. The only way I can handle it is to mix it with beef. - 8/17/2011   12:37:09 AM

This sounds great. Since I'm Greek anything with feta and spearmint sounds fab. My favorite burger has a slice of avocado. - 7/30/2011   8:45:44 AM

If someone doesn't at least TRY this burger (because they ONLY eat beef for burgers), they are LOSING out! This is the very best turkey burger I've ever eaten. It's amazing, fantastic, superb....etc.! - 7/29/2011   3:34:35 PM

Sorry you lost me with the turkey. Whenever I eat a hamburger I want a real beef hamburger. Turkey doesn't cut the mustard - 7/29/2011   3:25:15 PM

I fixed this tonight for my family. It was a big hit! My 10 and 12 year old boys really enjoyed the burgers, and they liked the Greek influence. - 6/1/2011   12:14:14 AM

Lost me with feta cheese. Maybe I could substitute something else. My favorite burger is a nice, juicy beef burger from a bar & grill, with lettuce, tomato and a dab of mayo. I don't see the point of cooking or eating outdoors with bugs, heat, and humidity so a cool bar & grill suits me just fine as a BBQ substitute.

I love turkey burgers! I use a slice of bread with crust removed to soak up and hold the moisture in; it really helps to retain the moisture when using the BBQ. - 5/31/2011   12:25:21 PM

This looks good! I also lettuce wrap my burgers to keep them healthier (especially if there is only white rolls) =) - 5/31/2011   6:44:09 AM

I haven't had a turkey burger in ages. I certainly enjoyed the last one I tried. What's my favorite burger ? Does a bacon double cheeseburger count ? LOL !!! I do like indulging once in a while.

Actually, one burger I like isn't really a burger. It's a "burger" made with a grilled portobella mushroom instead of the meat. It's really really great.
