I loved the comment where someone called herself a "soupaholic". That's a new term and I think I am one, too.
This week I used a SP recipe for "Crockpot Beef and Barley Soup" which was delicious! I made it using my own broth so it would be low sodium. The recipe states it serves 4 when it would easily make 8 to 10 generous servings. Try it, too! - 1/15/2011   10:08:47 PM

I thought I'd try the eggplant stew but it has flounder and I'm just not in the mood to try a stew with eggplant and fish. I will try to find another stew with eggplant sans fish.

I thought I'd try the Caribbean pulled chicken stew but it has coconut milk. Now, I used coconut milk in a chicken marsala recipe on SP and I didn't need the whole can so I wasted the rest because I didn't use it in time.
I suppose if I open a can of coconut milk I need to plan recipes so I can use the whole can so none goes to waste.

I usually just make regular beef stew with vegetables like carrots, potatoes, tomatoes, and onion. - 1/11/2011   2:37:43 PM
