    I used to use lavendar and camomille bath salts. It was very relaxing and calmed me down. I give myself foot massages often when I have lots of stress and pain. It really helps. When upset, I like to go for a walk or go shopping even if I don't buy anything. Just being around other people, helps destress in a non threatening environment.     I used rescue remedy for a long time and it worked great to calm me quite quickly, especially after a bit of shock. I am not sure why I stopped. Now I drink a warm cup of tea with lemon or cold pressed apple cider and inhale deeply before each sip I burn a very mild incense since I am quite sensitive to strong scents. - 12/1/2012   2:25:14 AM

    I have room sprays that I use that make my house smell so good! I also love candles! When I light them it gives me a sense of peace. One other way to reduce stress is to remember the true meaning of the holidays. It's not about going crazy gift shopping and decorating your house like Mr. and Mrs. Jones, but it's about making your house presentable so if you have company, they won't trip over the clothes in the hallway and there won't be mounds of dishes in the sink, but no one says you have to be another Martha Stewart!
