I know I'm not alone because there are some great lists here that's for sure.
There’s so much great music. Something for every mood and occasion. Everything from The Andrew Sisters to Eminem, from classical to roots. As for tunes to exercise by… I’ve started blogging some of my mix on my SparkPage, usually with a link so people can listen to the song without a search.
I don’t rely too much on my personal collection right now. Lately I’ve been using several channels on Pandora internet radio. I find a lot of new stuff that way. It’s not as portable but it’s much easier to keep things fresh.

"Little Red Light" or "Someone To Love" by Fountains of Wayne
"Barbie Girl" by Aqua
"Hot Girls in Good Moods" by Butch Walker (usu. accompanied with lip synching)
"Invincible" or by OK Go
"Autobiography" by Ashlee Simpson (guilty pleasure)
"All My Life" The Foo Fighters (especially the DONE DONE, ONTO THE NEXT ONE part)
"Are You Ready For It" by The Holograms
And... lately I've loved:
"Mercy" by Duffy (free from iTunes)
"Everybody Needs Someone to Love" by Wilson Pickett (w/accompanying pointing/arm gestures during "YOU YOU YOU")
"Steady As She Goes" The Raconteurs
"Energy" by Apples in Stereo
"Everbody Wants You" Sloan
I also like:
"You Blew Me Off" Bare Jr. (gotta be that Gary Glitter kind of hook at the beginning)
"16 Military Wives" or "Legionnaire's Lament" by The Decemberists
"Love Today" Mika
"Fill My Little World" The Feeling (good for warm up)
"Drop Dead Gorgeous" Republica
"Mr. Zoot Suit" Ingrid Lucia & The Flying Neutrinos (usu. accompanied by some hip swishing and swaying dance on the treadmill)
"My Way" by Butch Walker
"I Can't Decide" Scissor Sisters
"Molly Chambers" Kings of Leon
"Monsters" Matchbook Romance
"Chelsea Dagger" The Fratellis
...Okay, I've got 103 songs in my exercise playlist. But these are the TOP songs, with good beats and the ones that make me move the most.
